Frequently asked questions about Holistic Personal Training

• What is the difference between holistic and traditional personal training?
Although both traditional and holistic personal training deal with increasing efficiency of strength, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance, holistic personal training is functional training that integrates the body to move more efficiently in everyday applications. Traditional training incorporates the overload principle, increasing weights, reps and muscle size. Traditional training is great for isolation of muscles and targeting muscle groups; however, it does very little for stability of the whole body, integrating whole body muscle patterns. Both are available at a rate of $65/hour.

• Will I bulk up?
Traditional training can be incorporated into holistic training if your goals are to gain muscle mass. Using functional integrative techniques alone will not achieve a gain in muscle size.

• What is Organic Strength Training?
Organic strength training uses your own body weight, gravity and a stability ball to increase core and limb strength, integration and coordination, balance, flexibility and stability.

• How much is a session?
Whether your interest is holistic personal training, traditional training, private Nia, TRE or MELT, the price per hour is $65.00
